This fractured Carletonite crystal is incomplete and does not have a discernable tetragonal form, but shows at least 3 partial crystal faces. It has the common deep blue color and a pearly luster, and is translucent and heavily internally fractured. There is no base rock present, and the piece is affixed inside a plastic thumbnail box with a removable putty.
