This partial Carletonite crystal shows some evidence of tetragonal form, but is mostly incomplete. It is bicolored, showing zones of deep blue and milky white, and has a luster that ranges from pearly to vitreous. It is translucent, but shows areas of dim transparence. A removable putty holds it inside its thumbnail box.
