MANGANBABINGTONITE
Specimen mab-1

$ 25.00
Dims: 1.9 x 1.1 x 0.6" (4.9 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm)
Wt: 24 g
Cap Mine, Landsman Camp, Graham County, Arizona, U.S.A.
Several Manganbabingtonite blades rest on the weathered brown base of this small hand specimen. These crystals reach lengths of 0.3" (8 mm) and are in excellent condition, showing very little damage, if any. Their triclinic bladed form is likewise excellent, and at least one of them appears to be doubly-terminated. They have the standard black color and a dull waxy luster that suggests weathering. They rest on a bed of very tiny, fine crystals or formations that have an almost moss-like appearance.
