A single Anorthite crystal comprises this small thumbnail specimen. It appears to be in excellent condition, showing no damage, and has appreciably good triclinic prismatic form with the standard slanted dome and pinacoid terminations. Unfortunately, many tiny, dark crystals are embedded in its surfaces, making viewing of twinning striations impossible. It has a pale gray-brown coloration and a pearly luster. These small dark crystals may be pyroxene or hornblende- I cannot tell which- and there is no base or host material present.
