This specimen consists of a tarnished crystalline mass of the mineral domeykite. The domeykite crystals are rude and intergrown. They appear much the same as native copper specimens I have seen. There is no damage to this specimen, and the small crevices are filled with calcite. Domeykite is named for the Chilean mineralogist I. Domeyko.
