This extremely unusual specimen boasts several thin Tridymite blades that rest on a gray, rust-stained base. These crystals do not exceed 0.1" (3 mm) in diameter but are in excellent condition and show excellent monoclinic form, in the form of pseudohexagonal blades. All are white, translucent and have a pearly-to-vitreous luster. They are accompanied by a few rounded and indistinct cristobalite nodules that have a milkier white color and a dull luster.

Several tabular, pseudohexagonal crystals of tridymite rest on the top of the matrix in this specimen. These crystals range from tiny to just over 0.1" (0.3cm) in size. One tiny crystal appears to be in the form of a orthorhombic prism, although I cannot see it well enough to be sure of this. There is no damage to this specimen.

The top surface of this specimen is liberally coated with a layer of pseudohexagonal crystals of tridymite. These crystals are very thin and tabular. A loupe is needed to satisfactorily examine them. There are several small calcite crystals associated with the tridymite. There is only minor surface abrasion on this specimen.

Scattered across the top of this specimen are many thin, tabular, pseudohexagonal crystals of tridymite. Many of these crystals are incomplete, but with a bit of patience, one can find the hexagonal outline of some of them. The largest of these crystals approaches 0.1" (0.3cm) in size. There is only minor damage to this specimen.
