This is the only Jadeite specimen that I have yet seen that contains visible crystals. They are very small, and many are microscopic, but many others are visible to the naked eye; a loupe is necessary for close study, however. They appear to be in very good condition, showing little damage, and do not exceed 2 mm in length. Their monoclinic form appears to be good, and all have a dull green color and a dull, waxy luster. They extend out of a base of more compact, fibrous Jadeite that is partly coated with a thin, gray skin.
