Specimen hey-1

$ 30.00
Dims: 2.1x1.1x0.9" (5.3x2.7x2.3 cm)
Wt: 1.7 oz. (47.4g)
Harstigen, Sweden
This specimen contains two rare minerals. Most visible is a translucent brown crust of hedyphane, which covers much of one surface. Also present (visible on the broken surfaces) are hundreds of tiny crystals of brown pyrophanite - these are not visible without a loupe. The hedyphane has a resinous luster, and the crystals are nearly transparent. There is no indication of crystal form.
