Several small Niter crusts rest on the dull, pale brown host rock of this hand specimen. These crusts show no definite form and are in generally good condition, as there is only slight visible damage to them. All have a pale beige coloration with a few patches that show a noticeable pink tint. They have a matte luster, but I cannot determine translucence or opacity. The host rock on which they rest appears to be either a coarsely-grained shale or a finely-grained sandstone- the latter seems more likely.
